BELA has the capability, experience and knowledge to develop innovative new products to meet all our customers requirements, to include the latest technology, minimise production costs and meet their budget expectations.
We provide a wide range of electronic design facilities ranging from initial research and viability studies to prototypes and onto final products.
BELA operates in most of the industry markets including, scientific, industrial, aerospace, battery charging technologies and commercial.
The design of "smart" commercial and military battery chargers has been one of our target areas for many years and this has allowed us to develop a wide expertise in the design and engineering of Lithium-ion battery charging technologies.
Our engineers also have expertise in many other different fields which include brush less DC motor drives, LCD displays, Analogue and digital drive systems and many bespoke covert products.
Software Design & Development Tools
Software application is also an important platform to compliment many of the hardware designs. We use "C" and Visual Basic to provide flexibility and enhanced features for all our designs.
Much of our design projects have been developed around the Arizona Microchip PIC technology and embedded control systems. BELA operates compiler and emulation hardware to assist in the design of our customers products. We also design and develop using Texas Instruments and Analogue Devices.
EMC Testing & Prototypes
Our engineers will conduct any research relating to your project to ensure you benefit from the most up to date information and technology. You will then receive a prototype for your design produced by our team of design engineers.

With the introduction of a prototype, any changes or improvements necessary are made before a full production run is implemented to ensure the product meets all your technical and cosmetic requirements. EMC & CE Marking
We can guide your product though the mine-field of EMC testing, starting with designing for both compatibility and production, through to assembly and testing. We have invested heavily into researching design for EMC compatibility, helping us and you, to cover all the pitfalls.
BELA will arrange for EMC, vibration and any environmental testing to be carried out on the customers behalf. Any product being designed or assembled by BELA, will be tested utilising test houses under the supervision of the BELA engineering team.
We at BELA have been learning about the criteria for meeting such directives, and have worked closely with EMC laboratories and other institutions in gaining experience and knowledge on the design, engineering and preparation of essential paperwork. This service has provided our customers the route in achieving self-compliance or submitting their products for testing at an approved test house.
Some of the services BELA can provide using external laboratories include:
- Emission and Immunity testing.
- Bump and Vibration.
- Environmental testing.
- Safety testing.
Internally BELA can offer climatic cycling of between -40°C to + 80°C in our temperature controlled chamber. Special test jigs can be designed to carry out product approval testing and compliance acceptance.

We operate the new Europlacer iineo1 which offers an extended feeder capacity of 240 and a placement speed of 13,000 components per hour.
