Sales Account Manager / Estimator
Job Description
- Customer Account Management - Involves all aspects of customer service from receiving an enquiry through to after sales follow-up as well as prompt responses to all customer questions and queries.
- Preparation of Customers Proposals – Once a requirement is defined jobs need costing; this involves supplier liaison for material sourcing / price negotiation and working with the internal team to determine labour costs. Once complete proposals must be raised, presented and followed up.
- Product Structuring – All new jobs require system ‘structures’. This generally involves creating part numbers and defining purchasing /manufacturing routes.
- Purchasing – Involves the placement, acknowledgement and expediting of orders to ensure component kits are ready on time for release to manufacturing.
- General Administration – Multiple other daily administrative duties form a fundamental part of this role; for example answering and routing incoming telephone calls.
Task and Experience
The Sales Account Manager / Estimator role is involved in all aspects of determining and processing customer requirements.
This crucial role at the front end of our business is responsible for liaising with customers, taking enquiries, preparing and presenting proposals, processing orders and offering exceptional customer service.
As we are a small team the successful candidate will also be expected to support the purchasing functions undertaking roles such as order placement; order acknowledgement and expediting.
Experience in the electronics industry (either Contract Manufacturing or Distribution) is essential and with this will come product (component) knowledge. The individual will possess excellent interpersonal skills and experience of Microsoft Office / Internet Explorer. A professional and confident telephone manner is also a must.
Notes
- 38 hours per week; Monday to Thursday 08:30 to 17:00; Friday 08:30 to 15:00.
- 28 Days Holiday.
- £18,000 - £22,000 dependent upon experience.
