Prototyping

Prototyping is a crucial step in the product development cycle, allowing engineers to validate designs, identify and resolve issues and refine their products before moving onto production runs or even further development stages.

Bela offer a full prototyping service that can involve building a physical working model of an electronic device or simply producing a circuit design on a PCB. We work with your Engineers and designers and this can involve all of or just some of the various stages including designing and simulating the circuit on a computer, to building a physical prototype using electronic components, soldering, and assembling them into a functional system.

Our combination of engineering skills, technical knowledge, latest industry software, equipment and hands-on experience in electronic circuit design, assembly, and testing allows us to help your business.

Our electronics prototype service offers a reliable and efficient way for manufacturers and electronic component suppliers to create high-quality prototypes of their products before moving into full-scale production.

Electronic prototyping is an essential step in the product development process as it enables businesses to test and refine their designs, ensuring that the final product meets the required standards. Without reliable electronic prototyping, you could end up producing products that do not meet the needs of their customers, resulting in lost revenue and damage to your reputation.

Avoid this by partnering with Bela Electronics for your prototyping needs. We understand the importance of reliable electronic prototyping, and our service is designed to help you get your product to market quickly, effectively and reliably.

The advantages of Bela’s electronics prototype service

Bela Electronics’ prototype service offers many advantages to manufacturers and electronic component suppliers, with one of the biggest advantages being the ability to speed up the product development process.

With traditional manufacturing methods, the design and testing process can take months or even years. However, with Bela’s fast and reliable electronic prototyping service, your prototypes can be produced in just a matter of days or weeks. This allows your business to get products to market faster without fear of costly recalls or malfunctions.

Another advantage is the ability to produce multiple iterations of a design in a short period of time. This enables businesses to test and refine their designs more efficiently, resulting in a better final product. The ability to produce prototypes quickly also makes it easier to identify and resolve any design or functional problems early on in the development process, which can save time, money, and resources in the long run.

In addition, electronic prototyping allows businesses to validate the market potential of a product before committing significant resources to full-scale production. By producing a prototype and testing it in the market, businesses can gain valuable feedback and insights into the product’s potential success, minimizing the risks associated with launching a new product and increasing the chances of success.

Bela’s Electronics Prototype Service

At Bela Electronics, we offer a comprehensive electronics prototype service that has been designed to identify potential issues, rectify any faults and give you confidence that your product is ready for market.

Our prototype service enables businesses across industries and sectors to produce high-quality electronic prototypes of their products quickly and efficiently, ensuring that they meet the required standards before moving into full-scale production. Whether you require a small number of prototypes or a large batch of prototypes, we can help. Our team of experts will work closely with you to understand your requirements and develop a prototype that meets your specific needs.

One of our most common prototype services is PCB prototyping, which has been designed to produce high-quality PCB prototypes that meet the specific requirements of each individual client. It is flexible, reliable and highly efficient, utilising advanced equipment and techniques to ensure that every PCB prototype we produce is of the highest quality and meets the required standards.

With our class-leading equipment, experienced team, and firm focus on quality, we can help your business develop high-quality prototypes that meet your specific needs and requirements so that you can confidently shift into full scale production.

How our electronics prototyping service can benefit your business

At Bela Electronics, we have extensive expertise in electronic engineering, electronic testing, PCB design and assembly, and quality control. Our team of experts has years of experience in the industry and is committed to delivering high-quality electronic services to businesses across industries.

We place a strong focus on quality control and have a rigorous quality control process in place to ensure that our PCBs, prototypes and any other product we produce are of the highest standards both in terms of safety and quality.

Furthermore, by using our electronics prototype service, your business can also improve the quality of your final product and reduce the risks associated with launching a new product. Producing a high-quality prototype enables businesses to identify any design or functional problems early on in the development process, ensuring that the final product meets the required standards.

In addition, our electronics prototype service can offer cost and time savings for businesses, manufacturers and electronic component suppliers. By producing high-quality prototypes quickly and efficiently, you can save time and money on the product development process, which in turn leads to having more time for producing multiple iterations of a design, resulting in a better final product.

Design and Simulation The first step in electronic engineering prototyping is to design the circuit or system using specialised software tools such as computer-aided design (CAD) software, circuit simulation software, or printed circuit board (PCB) design software. Our Engineers use the industry standard Altium software. This allows Engineers to create a virtual representation of the electronic system and simulate its behavior before building a physical prototype.

Component Selection Once the circuit design is complete, Engineers select the appropriate electronic components for the prototyping. Bela can also advise component selection for resistors, capacitors, transistors, integrated circuits (ICs), sensors, connectors, and other necessary parts based on the requirements of the design, including performance, power requirements, form factor, and cost. Bela are also specialise in alternative parts solutions, product life cycle management of components and critical  component sourcing.

PCB Design Bela engineers can work alongise your Engineers on the PCB layout using specialised software. This includes placing the components on the PCB, routing the traces to connect the components, and adding necessary features such as power and ground planes, solder pads, and mounting holes.

Assembly Once the PCB is fabricated, our Engineers assemble the prototype by soldering the components onto the PCB, following the design and layout. This may also involve integrating other mechanical components such as enclosures, displays, buttons, and connectors, depending on the design requirements.

Testing and Iteration After assembly, the prototype is carefully tested to verify its functionality and  performance. If any issues are found, our Engineers may need to iterate on the design, ad-vise on changes to the circuit or PCB layout, and reassemble the prototype for further testing. This iterative process may be
repeated until the prototype meets your desired specifications and performance requirements.

Documentation Throughout the prototyping process, our team document the design changes,  modifications, and test results for future reference. This documentation serves as a valuable resource for troubleshooting, production, and further development of the electronic device or circuit.
